Welcome to my blog. My name is Jalal Arani. My life has been a journey of challenges, resilience, and discovery—a path that has shaped the thoughts and perspectives I share here.
I grew up in post-revolutionary Iran, filled with hope and determination to contribute to rebuilding my country. But life had other plans. I was labeled a “Mohareb,” or Enemy of God, forcing me into exile. Since then, I have lived in the UK, U.S., Germany, and France, dedicating over 40 years to exploring the roots of faith, the dynamics of history, and the complex interplay of religion and politics in shaping societies.
This blog is a space where I share what I’ve learned along the way from a Christian perspective. My writing reflects a deep commitment to justice, peace, and understanding. I have always believed that the Abrahamic religions—Judaism, Christianity, and Islam—stem from a shared divine source. Yet, interpretations of faith have often divided us, influencing the politics and powers that shape our lives. Through my work, I aim to uncover the essence of these traditions and how they can guide us toward compassion, unity, and mutual respect.
My book, The Son of God: Rediscovering Faith in a Divided World, is part of this journey. It explores the life and teachings of Jesus as a reflection of God’s enduring promise of love, humility, and renewal. This work builds upon my earlier book, The Chosen People: Origins, Beliefs, and the Legacy of Jewish Tradition, which delves into Judaism’s core teachings and their connections to Christianity and Islam, revealing the shared values that bind us together.
The challenges I’ve faced in life—exile, misunderstanding, and the struggle for truth—have deepened my resolve to seek answers and share them with those who, like me, are searching for a deeper understanding of God, faith, and the forces that shape our world. I write for those who are curious, for those who question, and for those who hope to transcend divisions and find meaning in our shared humanity.
Thank you for visiting. I invite you to join me on this journey of exploration, reflection, and dialogue. Let’s uncover the truths that connect us and work toward a world of greater understanding, forgiveness, and peace.
